How to book a private (non-emergency) ambulance

A private ambulance is not 112
First things first: if it's an emergency, call 112. A private ambulance is for non-emergency patient transport — planned journeys such as appointments, exams, treatments, hospital discharges or the trip back home.
How to book, step by step
With Ambula, booking is simple and can be done in three ways:
- Online, by filling in the request on our website — you'll get a quote and confirmation.
- By phone, through the free line 800 319 001.
- On WhatsApp, talking directly to the team.
What information to have ready
To speed up the booking, have the following to hand:
- Pick-up and destination addresses.
- Preferred date and time (and the expected return time, if applicable).
- The patient's condition — whether they can walk, need a wheelchair or stretcher, or need oxygen.
- A contact for whoever is accompanying them.
How far in advance?
Whenever possible, book in advance — especially for regular treatments (such as dialysis) or appointments with a set time. The earlier you schedule, the easier it is to guarantee the journey at the right time. Even so, Ambula also aims to handle short-notice requests.
